This leads to a situation where there is a tussle between the child and their parent. The parent wants to enforce their choice(s) upon their child which the child refuses at all costs. The child is then asked to do what their parents say and the child does not have any option or rather choice but do what their parents say unconvincingly.

This has an adverse effect on the relationship between the parent and their child on a long term note. There comes into place a communication gap because there is a difference in the perceptions between two people- the parent and their child. Moreover, the child starts feeling suppressed as he/she is not given a chance to express their choice(s). Children start feeling lonely and they wish their would be someone who would understand their concern.

Parents just think that they are doing all good for their dearest child who they always dream to see in the best of health, wealth and happiness. Unfortunately, they commit a lot of mistakes like unconvincingly enforcing their choices on their children. Sometimes, it might become essential for a parent to ask their children to do certain things at all costs but that should not be the case always.

Children must be made to understand what their parents think and why. Children must given the time to come up with their ideas even against the ideas of their parents in a healthy way. Arguments, debates and discussions must happen between a parent and a child . the child must be given the choice to express their thinking, feelings and understanding. Parents must convince their children to do what they want rather than enforce their choices on their children which will definitely have disadvantages for the parent in the long run. If you are thinking that if you keep thinking about your children all the time, your children will become better and better – that is an assumption. It definitely does not neccessarily mean that. Thinking a lot for your children does not definitely mean that what you think as a parent all the time will help you create what you want to within your child’s behavior. To be precise, thinking a lot for your hildren means that though you love them you are always concerned about them. Concerns will never ever help you in creating what you wish to create. Concerns do not improve your relations with your child but degrade them rather. Concerns do not build trust but break trust.

Sometimes, as I say: “Be free and let others free”… Let your child free and let them be out in the open rather than keep them closed in a box where there is no light, all darkness.

Sometimes, just leave whatever is happening to the world and become free of your worries. Take some rests and peace of mind. This will enable you in growing as a better parent any day any time. Be a better parent today! Happy Parenting!

And some of those likings/dislikings/habits could have an adverse effect on their physical, mental and spiritual health as well as a bad effect to their future well-being. As a parent, you are understanding that very well and that might be a concern for you.

I would say “Relax!”

A good parent is one who knows how to lead themselves and their children to the right path.

There are some four steps that can help you change their likings/dislikings/habits :

1. Sit with your children as much as possible or rather start playing with your children as often as you can. Make them feel you are not just a parent but you wish them well always. They will slowly start trusting you more as a friend which will further lead you to being accepted as a trustworthy parent by your children.

 

2. Once you have built a rapport or a strong connection, you must clarify their doubts and try to realistically answer as many questions as possible. Once they start asking you questions and there might be a few answers from your end that can help you build your respectful image in front of your child.

 

3. They start looking forward to you as an inspiration. Now, it is your duty to create an urge within them to know more in life. Moreover, they have just started listening to you. Thats a very good sign. That proves you can now easily change their likings/dislikings/habits to a great extent though the inner engineering of sensual system might take a little more time than normal to accept the inititiative of making changes in their lives.

 

4. Let them take their time. You must not force them to change neither criticize them to change. Let them build a self-communicative environment within themselves that helps them to make best friends with themselves. That will help them get more comfortable while handling their responsibilities at hand. Once they get more comfortable handling themselves, they will automatically want to change their habits/likings/dislikings naturally and as soon as possible.

 

Remember, a demanding parent or a parent with a lot of expectations from their children can never change their children in any way positively neither can be successful in their relationships with their children. A parents hyper-active behavior can in fact infest their  child’s behavior with negative thinking, immorality, rebel and hatred. Ultimately, Choice Is Your’s.
